Haruka apples Grown in Japan
【Product Description】
Haruka apples rank among the sweetest Japanese varieties, with sugar
levels that can reach about 13 – 16 °Brix.
Even the famously sweet Fuji apple averages only about 13 °Brix,
so Haruka apples are truly in a league of their own.
Its skin shines a clear lemon yellow, the aroma is especially fragrant, and the flesh
is firm and crisp with a satisfying snap when you bite into it. In Japan, Haruka
apples are sold as a premium, high-end variety.
As of 2026, the main branded lines are Iwate Prefecture’s “Fuyukoi Haruka 15 °Brix”
and “Fuyukoi Haruka Premium 16 °Brix,”
and Yamagata Prefecture’s “Princess Haruka 16 °Brix.”
Its flavor opens with pronounced sweetness, yet finishes crisp and refreshing.
This is an exceptionally rare variety that reaches its peak in snowy December.
